Greetings ~

I have been building models for my entire life. Okay, when I was one and two it was hard because I couldn't get a good hold on the parts. But not long after I started building them. I've built scale model cars, trucks, airplanes, ships, even trains. I've built them from plastic, woods and metal. If you've followed some of my scale model blogs than you've seen some of them.
I'm 72 years old and I built my first model car in 1956. And I still have it. Yes, I'm a saver. I recently, in the last few years, have found some wood kits that are pretty cool. They are made by a company called Robotime. A link to their site is at the end of this blog. They make all degree of kits but I have begun building their "cheapos". I found them at, of all places, Harbor Freight Tool Store, my favorite place to get my tools.
These kits sell there for less than $2.00. I buy several at a time and put them in my workshop storeroom. When it's raining like crazy or it's a cold winter day and snowing heavily, and I have nothing to do, I will pull one out and get started. Each kit takes roughly, an hour to build. They are snap together kits but I use wood glue on mine. These kits are easy and fun to build. When finished, you can paint them or stain them, whatever. I've done, so far, a World War I biplane, a Jeep and a World War II tank. The kit on this blog is the semi truck.
So if your the type of guy or gal who tries to stay busy and, sometimes, finds yourself bored, get some of these kits to keep around. They come in handy. So now, let's get started on the semi truck.
